Who writes this site
All calculator logic and articles on 1099vsw2pay.com are written and maintained by Tony Reaves II, founder of Toota Industries. No content is published anonymously.
Where our numbers come from
We use primary sources for every tax parameter in the calculator and cite them in the code:
- Federal income tax brackets, standard deductions, mileage rates, and retirement limits: the IRS (irs.gov), including annual revenue procedures and notices.
- Social Security wage base and FICA rates: the Social Security Administration (ssa.gov).
- State income tax brackets and deductions: each state's department of taxation (for example, tax.ny.gov for New York and ftb.ca.gov for California).
How often we update
Tax parameters are reviewed when the IRS, SSA, and state tax departments publish new figures (typically October through January), and again whenever mid-year changes are announced — such as the IRS raising the standard mileage rate effective July 1, 2026.
Corrections

What this site is not
The calculator produces estimates for comparing offers. It is not tax, legal, or financial advice, and it does not replace a CPA. Ads on this site are served by Google AdSense and are clearly distinguishable from content; advertisers have no influence on our articles or calculations.
